I want to be better than I was yesterday. It is not every day I should live like how I lived yesterday. I want to walk in the right path, do and say the right things. That’s right, I yearn to be better than the old me. I want to be better. I want to shine bright, be above and not beneath. I want to be a light. I want to be the best. I want to be used by God for His glory. I want to represent a true child of God. I want to be successful. I want to be wise. I want to be smart. I am in the world but I am not of this world so why am I kept up with what goes on in this world? I only seem to be surrounded by merely things of this world and I need to step out. I need to look outside this box. This world we see what is in this earth.
Why did I use the word “I” 21 times? Are we living for ourselves? We have got it all wrong. It is not about us anymore, it is about God! So let us try again and submit to the Most High.
Lord thank you for being who you are. Seeking you first is what is understood to set us all free. “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all things shall be added unto you” (Mathew 6:33).
Lord, my praise and worship to You does not even measure up to the great and eternal life that You have given to me. Help me to walk in Your way for “blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the paths of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scornful” (Psalm 1:1).
Help me Lord to know You more and most importantly, at the end of it, I pray that You may know me and call me as Your friend and Your daughter. Let Your will be done in my life, in Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
This is the best prayer you can ask from the Lord as it is good to ask for wisdom and his will. "The Lords will and purpose for your life is for good and not for evil" (Jeremiah 29:11).
Therefore He wants the best for you but He wants it in His own way so trust in The Lord always.
RP - Instead of begging for what you want, ask him what he wants for you. for his plans are for good and not evil. Listen to his Instruction and trust him always.
